Who we are
Purrsonal Sitter (Luxembourg) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: contact@purrsonalsitter.com, +352 691 137 720.
What data we collect and why
- Booking & contact form: name, email, phone (optional), requested dates and your message. Used solely to answer your request and organise cat sitting services. Legal basis: taking steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Shop orders: name, email, phone (optional), delivery address and your order. Used to fulfil your order and issue an invoice. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Shop payments: card payments are processed by Viva Payments (Viva Payment Services S.A.), a licensed EU payment institution, on their secure hosted page. We receive confirmation of payment only — we never see or store your card details.
- Invoicing & subscriptions: billing data is processed in Zoho Billing (Zoho Corporation), our invoicing provider, with EU data centres. We never see or store your card details.
- Client records: for active clients we keep the information needed to care for your cat safely (routines, medication, vet contact, access arrangements). Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Client area account: if you create an account, your email, password (stored only as a secure hash), contact details, pet profiles, sitting requests, order history and any reviews you submit are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase Inc. in an EU data centre. Used solely to provide the client area. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)). You can ask us to delete your account and everything in it at any time.
What we do not do
- No advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics trackers.
- No selling or sharing of your data with third parties for marketing.
- No newsletters unless you explicitly ask for them.
Cookies & local storage
This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Signing in to the client area sets one strictly necessary cookie that keeps you signed in; it does nothing else and disappears when you sign out. The shop basket is saved in your browser’s local storage on your device only, and is never transmitted until you place an order. You can clear both at any time via your browser settings.
How long we keep data
- Contact requests that don’t become bookings: deleted within 6 months.
- Client and order records: kept for the duration of our relationship.
- Invoices: kept 10 years as required by Luxembourg accounting law.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of processing, data portability, and you may object to processing or withdraw consent at any time. Just email contact@purrsonalsitter.com — we respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Luxembourg data protection authority, the CNPD.
Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS with modern security headers. Contact and booking form submissions are transmitted encrypted and sent directly to our mailbox. Client-area data is protected by row-level security: each account can only ever read and write its own records. Access keys and client care notes are stored securely and identified by code, never by name and address together.
